2017 School Specific Programme (Tier I)

January 10-13, 2017

The Accra Academy School Specific Programme was led by 5 INTED Master Fellows that benefited from the 2016 SDF-funded Master Fellow Programmes.  Teachers received training in all Tier I Teaching Practice modules, and Heads also received training in both Teaching Practice and Instructional Leadership modules.  Except Day 1, each training day was dedicated to one module, where leaders received new strategies to support teaching colleagues, while teachers held strategy practice sessions in Design Studios.

 

The modules covered were:

*  Lesson Design and Factors Affecting Student Learning

*  Using Prior Knowledge

*  Active Student Engagement

*  Critical Thinking Skills

*  Review and Collaboration Plan

 

Results: 76 teachers from Accra Academy were trained.  A sample of the pictures taken during this training is with the report and online.  All participants who completed the training received certificates.
