2018 School Specific Programme (Tier I)

Anum Presbyterian SHS, Eastern Region

76 Teachers and Heads

March 7-9, 2018

Similar to the Akim Akokoaso SHTS programme held a few weeks prior, the Anum Presbyterian SSP was at the invitation of a former beneficiary of INTED training (Mrs. Philomina Rosina Boateng, an Assistant Head Academic of Aburi Girls’ SHS at the time), who has now been promoted to head of a new school.  The training was led by 3 Master Fellows. Teachers received training in three Tier I Teaching Practice modules, and Heads also received training in both Teaching Practice and Instructional Leadership modules. Each training day was dedicated to one module, where leaders received new strategies to support teaching colleagues, while teachers held strategy practice sessions in Design Studios.

The modules covered were:

*  Lesson Design and Factors Affecting Student Learning

*  Using Prior Knowledge

*  Active Student Engagement

Results: About 76 teachers from Anum Presbyterian SHS were trained.  A sample of the pictures taken during this training is filed with the report and online.  All participants who completed the training received certificates.
