2013 School Specific Programme (Tier I)

Ghana Christian International High School

42 Teachers and Heads

August 19-23, 2013

Held at Ghana Christian International High School, the programme was designed to be an opportunity for Master Fellows (new trainees) to practice delivery of their training – the training of all teachers and heads of an entire school – it was also designed as a pilot of a potentially marketable programme (School Specific Programme) for INTED.  Three modules of Tier I curriculum were used in training, where teachers received specific teaching strategies in the morning lecture format sessions and practiced these strategies in the afternoon in Design Studio settings.

The modules used were:

*  Critical Thinking Skills

*  Lesson Design and Factors Affecting Student Learning

*  Using Prior Knowledge

Results: All 42 Educators in this school in Dodowa, Eastern Region of Ghana were trained.  All the training was photographed; some of the pictures taken of the training activities are available.  All participants received certificates.
