2017 School Specific Programme (Tier I)

Mafi-Kumase Senior High and Technical School, Volta Region

58 Teachers and Heads

December 7-8, 2017

The Mafi-Kumase School Specific Programme was designed by INTED and the training led by 3 INTED Master Fellows that benefited from the 2016 SDF-funded Master Fellow Programmes.  Teachers received training in Teaching Practice modules, and Heads also received training in both Teaching Practice and Instructional Leadership modules.  Each training day was dedicated to one module, where leaders received new strategies to support teaching colleagues, while teachers held strategy practice sessions in Design Studios.

The two modules covered were:

*  Lesson Design and Factors Affecting Student Learning

*  Active Student Engagement

Results: 58 teachers from Mafi-Kumase SHTS were trained.  A sample of the pictures taken during this training is with the report and online.  All participants who completed the training received certificates.

"The trainer is resourceful, knowledgeable, committed and actually a good facilitator"

"I think the training has been an eye-opening one and if every bit of what imparted is used in our classrooms, surely productivity will rise, ultimately progressing students’ performance. However, the whole thing needs a lot of a teacher's time to succeed."
