2019 School Specific Training Programme (Tier I)

99 Teachers and Heads

The Mfantsiman Girls’ School Specific Programme was led by INTED Master Fellows, and at the invitation of Master Fellow Phyllis Arthur-Simpson who had been transferred to be head of school from Odoben Senior High School.  Teachers received training in Teaching Practice modules, and Heads also received training in both Teaching Practice and Instructional Leadership modules. Each training day was dedicated to one module, where leaders received new strategies to support teaching colleagues, while teachers held strategy practice sessions in Design Studios. 

 

The three modules covered were:

*  Lesson Design and Factors Affecting Student Learning

*  Using Prior Knowledge

*  Active Student Engagement

 

Results:  A sample of the pictures taken during this training is filed with the report and online.  All 99 participants who completed the training received certificates.
