Philo is a 2016 Master Fellow and 2013 Fellow of INTED. Philo has been the substantive head of Oda Senior High School since December 2019, having previously served two transformative years as Head of Anum Presbyterian Senior High School. She was the first female head of both schools, and first alum to head Oda SHS.
Earlier, Philo rose from form-mistress to Head of Social Science department in Accra High School from 2006 to 2013, and Assistant Head Academic in Aburi Girls' SHS from 2013 to 2017. Prior to Accra High School, Philo taught History and Social Studies at St. Augustine’s College from 1996 to 2006. Philo holds BA (Hons), DipEd, and Masters in Educational Administration (IEPA), all from University of Cape Coast. Philo is the Author of Akiola Social Studies for WASSCE, recommended by the CRDD and WAEC as a supplementary textbook. She is a member of the international coordinators in Social Studies for all levels WAEC.
