2018 School Specific Training Programme (Tier I)

Similar to the previously held School Specific Programmes, the SOS Hermann Gmeiner Basic School training was led by 2 Master Fellows.  The teachers received training in Tier I Teaching Practice modules designed by INTED in collaboration with CSET, Stanford University. The Heads also received training in Instructional Leadership and Teaching Practice modules.  Each training day was dedicated to one module; heads received new strategies to support teaching colleagues, while teachers held strategy practice sessions in Design Studios.

 

The modules covered were:

*  Lesson Design and Factors Affecting Student Learning

*  Active Student Engagement

 

Results:  A sample of the pictures taken during this training is filed with the report and online.  All 39 participants who completed the training received certificates. Working with Master Fellows Emma and Annie, INTED CEO Kwabena Amporful led a follow up session on February 1, 2019 to review strategies teachers were comfortable with and those that needed further attention.
